Why do we think we need better treatment from people when Jesus received the WORST treatment. They spat in his face, slapped him, struck Him with their fists, whipped Him - they CRUCIFIED Him! What did He do in return? He helped, healed, served, loved - no matter what! Wow – I really want to be more like Him.
May we be a true example of Jesus even when others are treating us unfairly. May we always love others, separating the sin from the sinner like Jesus does and may we keep our hearts pure towards them. It may be just the thing that changes their lives, that opens their eyes to see what true love is, that Jesus exists. The love of Jesus truly changes people.
Jesus is love and He says in His word that others would know that we are His disciples by our love for one another. May we walk in love no matter what life (or people) throws at us and may all we do be done in love – may we be rooted in love.
