Sometimes we think we know what is going to happen, but we should learn not to rely on our own insight and understanding (Prov 3:5).
Even when God gives us dreams, when we receive prophecies or get revelation, it is not necessarily going to play out like we think. We only see a glimpse of the situation and we have no idea of all the spectacular, supernatural ways the Lord can operate. We don’t think like He does, we think way too small to really know what is going on.
Sometimes God is revealing so many different things that we really have no clue what is going to happen next. We sometimes feel like we are at the end of a season (that is where I find myself now) and then we want to know – what’s next? We should learn to enjoy the wonderful journey and adventure and quit trying to figure out what is going to happen next.
We don’t have to know what is going to happen or how it is going to play out, in His perfect timing He will make it happen and THEN we will know. He will come through for us and He will provide. We should just keep our eyes on Him and remind ourselves not to rely on our understanding of things.
Thank You Father that we can pray that Your perfect will shall come into fulfillment. Thank You that You open the doors (opportunities) that should be opened and that you close those that needs to be closed. Thank You that we can trust You and know that You will work everything out for our good, we just have to have faith in You and keep our eyes on You. Help us to trust You even when we have no idea what is next. Amen
