Proverbs 18:22 says, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing…”

He who finds a wife… how do you find a wife? You don’t find someone that is married?

He who finds a WIFE, in other words, someone who deserves the title of a wife. Someone with the characteristics of a wife, not someone with a ring on her finger.

He who FINDS: discover or perceive by chance or unexpectedly.

So not he who goes searching… he who finds. Not a girl acting like a single girl, but one who has the characteristics of a wife.

Girls, carry yourself like you are already taken, like a wife – and a husband will find you (not a boy or a playmate).

Guys – wait for a wife, someone who acts like a wife – ‘trou materiaal’ like they say in Afrikaans.

Married women - act like a wife should. Just because you're married doesn’t automatically give you the qualities and characteristics of a wife.

There are so many scriptures that teach us what a wife should be like, let’s study it and cultivate those qualities.
