Trusting God even though the circumstances show the contrary.

This week God really taught me the meaning of keeping my eyes on Him, not to focus on the circumstances but to just trust Him. There is a song that says – “You say watch and then You prove Your the God who moves the mountains” - and He really did prove to me. It is actually very simple - trust Him. That’s it. Just trust Him and things will work out - BUT it isn’t always that easy, because we don’t know how the situation will eventually play out and we still want to make sure, out of our own strength, that things will be okay.

This week there were 3 times where God really showed up after my faith and trust in Him was tested a bit. I just kept my eyes on Him knowing that He is in control. 1st an unexpected birthday popped up and I asked God what He wants me to give this friend – a specific book. I went to CumBooks but they didn’t have one in the store, so the lady phoned to ‘order’ one from a store across the country. She said that the price was R270 (actually asking if it is okay and if she can go ahead) - and I thought to myself (because financially its a difficult month) “I know I must buy this book so God will provide. He said I must buy this book so I He will (has to) provide”. After the phone call she said that she had good and bad news. The bad news, it may not be here in time for the birthday... and the good news - it is marked off and only costs R10. Dumbstruck I stood there – not really reacting haha - WHAT?!! I mean HOW?

GOD! That is how. God really provides in amazing, supernatural ways and He makes a way where there is none, or where WE can’t see one. If I didn’t go through when I heard the price at the beginning, I would never have seen or experienced how God can show up and the amazing way that He really DOES provide. Also – I would have paid more for ANY other gift that was worth giving.

We should choose to trust Him in everything even though it doesn’t make sense at all. He tests our obedience and faith, but He always comes through for us.

Thank You Father for being a Supernatural Provider, You are amazing! Thank You for always showing up when we put our trust in You. Help us to always keep our eyes on You and not on our circumstances. Amen
