Have you ever uttered the words, “I am done with love”?
I know I have. I’ve been through quite a few heartbreaks, some worse than others and somewhere along the line you’re just “done”. Without even meaning it sometimes we say that we are done, or that we don’t believe in love. Other times we don’t say it, but we feel it. Sometimes we don’t even know that we have partially given up or stopped believing in love, but today God wants to remind us that love is beautiful!
The enemy wants to distort ‘love’ and he wants us to have a negative feeling or connotation to love. He wants us to stop believing in it and to believe the lie that love isn’t beautiful, BUT today God wants to remind us that He is love. Love is absolutely beautiful and true. We can’t give up on love – God is LOVE. That is who He is. That is what He has called us to do. Love Him and love those around us, but if we believe that love hurts or that it is ugly due to heartbreak (something that is not from God), then we are believing a lie.
The enemy hates love, because God is love, and because of that he doesn’t want us believing in it. Love is beautiful and perfect, and if we don’t believe in love, then there is no hope for this world or for any of us.
Let’s ask and trust that God will restore our faith in love. That we would LOVE love again, and that He will restore any lie that we are believing about love and let’s trust that He will give us a revelation of His perfect love.
